Abstract - The authors propose “SANTO”, which is a coarse-to-fine alignment and stitching method for spatial (transcript)omics data. It performs a two step process; 1) identification of overlap region and 2) refinement of positions of the two slices by taking into account spatial and omics patterns. The goal is to increase scalability for large-scale image-based spatial omics datasets.
